Brother’s INKvestment Tank approach uses cartridges feeding an internal supply arrangement; the user does not replenish this model by pouring ordinary refill bottles. That distinction should guide the comparison. Someone who prefers clean cartridge replacement may find it attractive, while a buyer explicitly seeking bottle economics needs a different shortlist. Product-family names are less informative than the actual consumable you will order and install.

A home-office scale of handling

The 150-sheet tray and document feeder fit a modest administrative routine rather than a shared department. Think about the busiest recurring batch and the amount of attention it will need. A larger tray can reduce refills but cannot make a quiet office’s occasional job more useful. Conversely, a printer that needs constant intervention during the weekly report run may be underspecified even when its supply system looks attractive.

Scanning has its own limit

Automatic duplex printing helps with reports, but the published scanner does not offer automatic two-sided capture. If contracts or statements arrive with important information on the back, follow the manual workflow before purchase. Also confirm the intended network arrangement: a wireless home office and a business requiring wired Ethernet are different briefs.
