Check compatibility first, align with a proof and follow the specified loading method.
Confirm the media is supported
Check the printer’s accepted media types, weights and sizes before using labels, envelopes or card stock. Choose material intended for your printing technology. A coating designed for another process may not behave correctly in an inkjet.
Set the document up before loading
Use the correct template or sheet dimensions and confirm orientation, scale and printable margins. For labels, make a plain-paper proof and hold it against the label sheet to inspect alignment before using the actual media.
Use the recommended feed path
Follow the loading instructions for the chosen media and avoid exceeding its tray limit. Automatic duplex may not support specialty sheets. Start with a small test, inspect feed and output quality, then continue with the batch only when both are correct.
