The quick take

A methodical test sequence is more useful than reinstalling everything at once.

Start at the printer

Check the display or status lights, paper supply and accessible doors. Try the model’s internal report or a standalone copy if supported. If that works, the print mechanism can produce a page; focus the next checks on the device, connection or print queue.

Follow the job from your device

Confirm that the intended printer is selected and the queue is not paused. For Wi-Fi, verify that device and printer can communicate on the same network. For USB, check the cable and port. Change one thing, test again and record what happened.

Treat poor output as a separate branch

For streaks, missing colors or blurred output, match the paper type and size to the settings, then print a diagnostic page. Use model-specific alignment or cleaning instructions as indicated. If the problem persists, use official support with the exact error and model number.
