Use the recommended workload
The 2755e is a light-duty household printer, with HP recommending 50 to 100 pages a month. That is a more helpful buying signal than its maximum monthly duty cycle. A family printing a few forms and short assignments may fit comfortably inside that role. Someone who recently began working from home should count the new workload before choosing an inexpensive entry model. A printer can be affordable to acquire and still become an awkward match when the number of pages and cartridge changes grows substantially.
Simple functions include manual steps
Printing, copying and flatbed scanning cover basic household requirements, but the 60-sheet input tray and manual duplex establish clear limits. Long two-sided packs need intervention, and multiple originals must be positioned on the glass individually because there is no document feeder. That may be entirely reasonable for a single signed form. It is less attractive for recurring document administration. Check the tasks that caused frustration with your previous printer; buying another basic all-in-one will not resolve missing automation if that was the original problem.
Color and supplies need planning
HP rates ISO output at up to 7.5 black and 5.5 color pages per minute. The printer uses black and combined tri-color cartridges, so the supply decision differs from a model with separate cyan, magenta and yellow replacements. Look at local standard and higher-yield cartridge options before estimating a year of ownership. There is no borderless printing, which limits the appeal for photo projects requiring an edge-to-edge finish. Occasional color documents are a more natural use than treating this as a dedicated family photo-production device.
Connect and buy deliberately
Wi-Fi provides shared household access, while USB is available for a direct computer connection. Confirm the setup and software requirements for the devices you actually use rather than relying on an old operating-system list. Any optional HP+ activation or ink subscription carries conditions separate from the basic hardware purchase. Read those before enrollment, particularly the ongoing supply and internet requirements. The 2755e is a defensible choice for a genuinely light workload; move to a different class when automatic duplex, batch scanning or lower running costs at regular volume become the deciding requirements.
